🌍 Mines Nancy international students had a fun trip to discover Paris, organized by the Student Union and sponsored by the Mines Nancy Foundation. They saw lots of famous places in Paris.
Eiffel Tower 🗼
First stop was the Eiffel Tower, a famous symbol of France. Fun fact: when it was first built, some well-known people in Paris didn't like it. But now, it's a big deal and shows how great French engineering is. They took great photos at Place du Trocadéro, with a cool view of the Eiffel Tower.
Arc de Triomphe 🏛️
Then, they saw the Arc de Triomphe, commissioned by Napoleon to honor French soldiers. It's a massive structure, standing 50 meters tall, and offers a panoramic view of Paris when you climb to the top.
Champs-Élysées 🛍️
Walking on the Champs-Élysées was awesome. It's a famous street lined with cafes, luxury shops, and theaters, which is the epitome of Parisian lifestyle.
At Place de la Concorde, they immersed in history. This square, the largest in Paris, witnessed some pivotal moments during the French Revolution.
Louvre Pyramid 🖼️
The Louvre, with its stunning glass pyramid, captivated them all. Home to thousands of works, including the Mona Lisa, the Louvre is the world's largest art museum and a historical monument in Paris.
Notre-Dame Cathedral 🏰
They saw Notre-Dame too, a masterpiece of French Gothic architecture. Although it suffered a significant fire in 2019, its resilience and ongoing restoration efforts symbolize the enduring spirit of Paris.
Jardin des Tuileries 🌷
The Jardin des Tuileries was a nice place to walk and relax. Perfect for a leisurely stroll, it connects the Louvre to Place de la Concorde.
Free Time in Paris 🚶♀️🚶♂️
Finally, our students enjoyed some "off" time, wandering through the narrow streets of Paris, discovering hidden gems, and tasting the famous French cuisine.
This trip was more than just a visit; it was a cultural deep dive, enriching the minds and spirits of Mines Nancy’s international students. The memories made and lessons learned in the enchanting streets of Paris will surely last a lifetime. Vive la France! 🇫🇷✨
